Gravesend Rowing Club

Gravesend Rowing Club is one of the oldest rowing clubs on the tidal Thames, it was established in 1878. Over the last 121 years, Gravesend has produced numerous winners of the Doggetts Coat and Badge, and a number of Henley competitors and International oarsmen. We are also very proud that the current record for rowing the length of the navigable Thames is held by two of our members.

The club has a good selection of club boats, as well as racking for plenty of privately owned boats. We cater for members from 14 years old and above, we have a very active Veterans rowing section. The club has ARA qualified coaches available for people new to rowing, and has implemented the Child protection Policy (so parents-your children are safe!). On the first Sunday of every month, we have a 3 course roast dinner in the clubhouse for a very reasonable price.
